Cookie policy
This English version is provided for information only. The Spanish version is the original and prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
This website uses third-party cookies, only if you accept them, so that we can obtain user statistics.
You can prevent cookies from being downloaded through your browser settings, which stops cookies from being stored on your device.
As the owner of this website, I inform you that we do not use the information obtained from cookies to identify you: we only compile general visit statistics.
It is very important that you read this cookie policy and understand that we will only use these cookies if you accept them in the cookie notice that appears when you enter the website (“Accept” button). If you click “Decline”, or for as long as you have not chosen, none of them is loaded: continuing to browse does not amount to accepting them.
Under the terms of Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), we need your prior consent to use these cookies, and you can withdraw it at any time (we explain how below).
Controller
The entity acting as controller for the collection, processing and use of your personal data, within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (Ley Orgánica 3/2018, de 5 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos Personales y garantía de los derechos digitales, LOPDGDD), is Ticdat Consulting, S.L. (tax ID, NIF: B42890665), owner of the website www.ticdat.com – Carrer Riera Garrap, 37, 17007 Girona (Spain). You can write to us at hola@ticdat.com or call us on +34 872 20 69 74. We explain how we process your data and how to exercise your rights in the privacy policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are a set of data that a server places in the user’s browser to collect standard Internet log information and information on the behaviour of visitors to a website. In other words, they are small text files that are stored on the computer’s hard drive and are used to identify the user when they connect to the website again. Their purpose is to record the user’s visit and store certain information. Their use is common and widespread on the web, as they allow pages to work more efficiently and to achieve greater personalisation and analysis of user behaviour.
What types of cookies are there?
The cookies used on our website are third-party cookies (Google Analytics, from Google) and are only stored if you accept them. They allow us to know the type of browser and device used, as well as to track and statistically analyse the activity carried out on the website (which pages are visited and how people reach them), in order to make improvements. The website does not store any first-party cookies: the only thing it stores in your browser is your choice in the cookie notice, in the browser’s local storage (this is not a cookie, but we also explain it in the table).
Depending on how long they remain, cookies can be divided into session cookies and persistent cookies. Those that expire when the user closes the browser. Those that expire when the purpose they serve has been fulfilled (for example, so that the user remains logged in to a service) or when they are deleted manually.
These are the ones used on this website:
| Name | Owner | Expiry | Purpose | Class |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google (Google Analytics), third-party | 2 years from the last visit | Used to distinguish users: it recognises that the same browser is coming back, not who you are. | Not exempt: only stored if you accept it |
| _ga_<ID> | Google (Google Analytics), third-party | 2 years from the last visit | Used to persist session state. <ID> is the identifier of our Google Analytics property. | Not exempt: only stored if you accept it |
| ticdat_cookies | Ticdat Consulting, S.L., first-party | Does not expire: it stays in your browser until you clear its data | It is not a cookie: it is kept in the browser’s local storage. It remembers whether you have accepted or declined the measurement cookies, so that we do not ask you on every page. It is only in your browser: it is not sent to any server. If you visit with another browser or device, or clear its data, we will ask you again. | Exempt: it is technical |
In addition, depending on their purpose, cookies can be classified in various ways; this website only uses analytics cookies:
Analytics cookies
If the user accepts the measurement cookies, each time they visit the website a tool from an external provider (Google Analytics) generates an analytics cookie on the user’s computer. On future visits to the website of Ticdat Consulting, S.L., this cookie will be used to recognise the visitor without knowing who they are (pseudonymously). The main purposes pursued are:
Allowing the pseudonymous identification of browsing users through the cookie (it identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore an approximate count of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
Anonymously identifying the most visited content, and therefore the content most attractive to users.
Knowing whether the user accessing the site is new or a returning visitor.
Important: the cookie will never be associated with any other personal data that could identify the user, such as the data they provide to us in a form. These cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help to optimise the users’ experience on the site.
Advertising cookies
There is no advertising on this website and no advertising cookies are used, whether first-party or third-party. Even if you accept the measurement cookies, we tell Google, through its “consent mode”, that the storage of data for advertising purposes, the use of your data for advertising and ad personalisation are always denied.
Third parties and international data transfers
The only third party involved in these cookies is Google. If you accept the measurement cookies, your browser downloads Google Tag Manager from Google’s servers and, through it, Google Analytics, which sends Google the data of your visit (the pages you view, the page you came from, your type of browser and device, and your IP address) so that it can give us the statistics. If you decline them, no Google tool is loaded.
Google may process these data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States, through Google LLC. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023; that decision covers the transfer (Article 45 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679). You can see how Google processes data in its privacy policy and in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
How can I change or withdraw my consent?
You can change your choice whenever you like from the “Cookie settings” option at the bottom of every page: it shows the cookie notice again so that you can accept or decline once more. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out with your consent before its withdrawal. If you withdraw it, the website deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser and stops loading Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. You can also delete them yourself from your browser, as explained below.
How can I disable cookies in my browser?
The different browsers can be configured to warn the user when cookies are received and, if desired, to prevent them from being installed on the device. Likewise, the user can check in their browser which cookies are installed and when they expire, and can delete them.
